With Steven Iwersen, CSP
9:00 to 2:30 Session
2:30 to 3:00 Networking
Location: The Curtis Ballroom, 5345 Landmark Pl, Greenwood Village, CO 80111
Session Includes: Seminar, Breakfast, Lunch, Parking, and Materials
Leaders are agents of change. Change creates discomfort and tension. How you intentionally relate to and communicate with others has a profound influence on your ability to build rapport, inspire collaboration, enhance positive camaraderie, resolve misunderstandings and to lead people while managing change.
Based on the World Famous Porcupine Races, leaders throughout the United States have laughed and learned from this highly engaging, interactive presentation about a subject no one wants to talk about:
Specifically, the conflict that exists because of Prickly People.
Everyone has a prickly person in their life or in the workplace. And everyone is asking the same questions: How do we handle those moments when we encounter an uncooperative, grumpy person? What do we do when there are differing opinions? Is there a way to a successful outcome when a person on the team is resistant to change? More importantly, how do you direct them to a successful outcome when they are resistance to the changes?
This fast paced and interactive session provides foundational principles and practical methods for communicating and building trust during uncomfortable times. You will learn the strategies for leading others to a shared success.

1. 9:00 to 10:30
Participants will be identifying their own specific situations (and/or individuals) that create conflict in their organization. Leaders will be introduced to five specific principles and a strategy for improved collaboration.
2. 10:45 to 12:15
This session shifts the content to the introduction of practical methods and application based on each of the five principles. Participants will learn, through instruction and group discussions, techniques for improved decision-making, empowerment, communication, and establishing appropriate boundaries for problem-solving.
3. 1:00 to 2:30
The final session (a facilitated conversation) brings everything together through the introduction of a Strategic Persuasion System in which the participants will identify their own strategic steps for improving their leadership during times of change and for redirecting the negative influence of the reluctant.
